My Jesus Encounter
How I met Him and why I now serve in His ministry
I wouldn’t be HERE, if I wasn’t THERE first. Someday that will be the title of a book that I write. God has blessed me tremendously throughout my life. Each step from when I was a child growing up in Philadelphia has led me to an opportunity “for such a time as this!” From the time I asked Jesus into my heart at the Christian Cinema in Ambler, PA in 1978 after seeing the movie, Nite Song, God has had His hand upon my life. His hand has led me to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Pastoral Studies from the University of Vally Forge. I have also served in ministry at Calvary Full Gospel Church in Fairness Hills, PA as a pastoral intern, Youth Pastor at Trinity Assembly of God in West Chester, PA, Lead Pastor at New Life Church in Claymont, DE, and adjunct staff at Five Rivers Church in Elkton, MD.
After those ministry positions, God has had me in the secular workplace for the last 12 years in various leadership positions, currently in a bi-vocational position at Chick-fil-A in Millsboro, DE as Director of People and Culture. After a “series of improbable events”, God has led my wife Kelly and I to serve as Senior Pastor at PCC. I am absolutely thrilled at the opportunity to serve God’s people and to be a lighthouse to those looking for a place of worship on the Eastern Shore.
Director of Children’s Ministry
Kelly Lorman
A native of New England, Kelly has earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the University of Valley Forge. After that, she has been instrumental in opening two pre-schools in two different churches in the New England area. Prior to getting married to Bill, she had served over 13 years as Preschool Director at Portsmouth Christian Academy. Other ministry opportunities were in the areas of youth and children’s ministries.
Upon moving to the Eastern Shore, Kelly has served as Children’s Ministry Director at Coastal Community Church in Berlin for the last 3+ years. She has two daughters (Kendra and Kalahn), to go along with Bill’s kids (Olivia, Will and Andrew). It is an honor and privilege to serve at PCC and look forward to seeing great things in the church and community!
